….. Down Where it’s wetter, under the sea….

Salt was honored with a bunch of People’s Choice Awards at Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best Restaurants Party last night. Chef Kevin Sousa served a ceviche in metal roll top sardine tins with logo stamped crackers to match.

Hinged to the theme, the arrangements were made of glass vessels featuring underwater-scapes made of driftwood, yarrow, dusty miller, nigella, belles of ireland, lady’s mantle, scabiosa pods, and horsetail ferns.

Made for a lovely mass of leftovers that evening at home….

Memorial Day Redux

While my own garden is still not ready for the season, and I still have more then several planters to finish building before it is, one client was able to have everything smart for a holiday dinner this past Monday.
